When God’s Word is sought for counsel, it reveals the importance of sexual purity in relationships and the Biblical perspective on marriage. As servants of the Lord, we strongly feel that we must not ignore God’s counsel in any situation. Therefore, we sense that it would be a disservice to both of you in your desire for a fulfilling marriage to not address all of these areas of pre-marital counseling. Please read these scriptures before answering the questions below: I Corinthians 6:18; I Timothy 5:1&2; Ephesians 5:3; Ephesians 5:22-33; I Thessalonians 4:1-8.

Planning Guidelines

Please have both Groom and Bride read over this section.
• Should there be changes in any of your plans, please notify the office and the officiating Pastor.
• You are responsible to arrange the set-up and decoration for the wedding ceremony; decorators, florist, photographers, etc. You are also responsible to clean up and remove all personal affects, decorations (other than those rented by the church), flowers etc.
• You are responsible to ensure that all participants in the bridal party are present at the rehearsal, including all parents of bride and groom, all ushers, bridesmaids, groomsmen, musicians, soloist, flower girl and ring bearer, etc.
• Remember to bring the marriage license to the rehearsal.
• It is a good idea to mail any out-of-town guests and wedding participants directions to the church.
• Please inform all participants that there is no smoking on the church property.
• Sorry, there is no rice/confetti throwing on the grounds. Please inform the wedding facilitator in advance if you plan to throw bird seed.
Please consider that this is a church and any wedding music or activity should reflect respect.

Fees

The total base cost will be $650. Wedding fees include rental of the sanctuary and lobby for both the rehearsal and the ceremony, audio and visual personnel to run the event, and the honorarium for the pastor.

Acknowledgement

The performance of marriage ceremonies is an accommodation, not an obligation. It is understood that entering into premarital counseling does not constitute an agreement or approval to be married here. The pastor performing the wedding must operate in good conscience before the Lord and reserves the right to postpone or deny any ceremony, if he feels it is in the best interest of the couple or the church. Postponement or denial by one member of the pastoral staff will preclude requests to any other pastoral staff members. [Only after completion of premarital counseling can permission be given by a pastor to perform a wedding here. Feather Sound Church is not obligated to meet any wedding date request set prior to counseling.]
PLEASE RE-READ THE ABOVE STATEMENT AND THOROUGHLY UNDERSTAND FEATHER SOUND CHURCH’S POSITION.
