Our Core Beliefs
Our History
The Scriptures are true, authoritative, and sufficient.
(Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
There is only one God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 46:9-10; John 17:3; 1 Corinthians 8:4-6; 1 Timothy 2:5)
The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each fully God, yet distinct from one another.
(Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:13-17; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6)
All humanity, except Christ, is born sinful by nature and action.
(Genesis 6:5; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3)
The penalty for sin is both physical and spiritual death.
(Genesis 2:15-17; Romans 6:23; James 1:14-15)
Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin and is both fully God and fully human.
(Matthew 1:20; John 1:1-4, 14; Hebrews 1:1-3)
Jesus died as a substitute, paying the penalty for our sins.
(John 1:29; Romans 5:8; 1 Peter 3:18)
Jesus physically rose from the dead.
(Matthew 28:1-20; 1 Corinthians 15:12-34)
Jesus ascended into heaven and will one day physically return.
(Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Revelation 1:7)
We believe in the resurrection of the dead—those who trust in Christ will receive eternal reward, and those who do not will face eternal punishment.
(Matthew 25:31-46; John 5:28-29)
Only by trusting in Jesus Christ alone can we be reconciled to God, receive salvation, and experience true life and joy.
(John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:21-26)
God created humanity as male and female, in His image, and all life is sacred from conception to natural death.
(Psalm 139:13; Jeremiah 1:5; Romans 12:20-21)
God's plan for marriage is between one biological man and one biological woman, and sexual relationships should only be expressed within this context.
(Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; 1 Corinthians 6:9)
These beliefs shape our mission and guide our community in glorifying God and sharing His love with the world.

We are a visionary church that believes God is always at work—and always has been! We cherish the opportunity to trace His hand through the events that have brought our congregation to this moment.
Feather Sound Church was established in 1979 by a group of individuals who came to faith in Christ through a Billy Graham crusade in Tampa Bay. Recognizing the need for a Bible-teaching and evangelistic church in the growing community of Feather Sound, they began holding corporate worship meetings at the Feather Sound Country Club.
As both the church and community expanded, the developer of Feather Sound generously donated land for the church, allowing us to build a multi-purpose, two-story sanctuary right on Feather Sound Drive. With a permanent home established, we further expanded with a second building dedicated to education, hospitality, childcare, and events.
Looking ahead, Feather Sound Church aims to be a place that ministers to the lost and disciples believers in their relationship with Christ. We invite everyone to join us as we embark on the next chapters of God's story!

Our Logo
The cross is a central symbol of the teaching of Scripture.
The sun behind the cross is an allusion to the famous Easter morning photo that proclaims 'HE is risen.' Also, because the church is located in Florida, the Sunshine State, we thought it appropriate to showcase the sun, reminding us of the even brighter shining Son! The fragmented rays of the sun represents the beautiful stain glass scene of sunshine and trees, located in our sanctuary.

Additionally, the community of Feather Sound borders the water; therefore, the ocean-blue color of the cross paired with the bright yellow sun further indicates our place of worship.
The circular shape of the logo represents the globe and our desire to spread the Gospel throughout the earth.
